In this case, the most recent owner wanted a first-class remodel even though it was a newly built home. Along with builder Robert Clark and architect William Briggs, we, as a prominent Preston Hollow landscape architect, were engaged from the beginning of the project. Every square inch of the residence was remodeled, including interiors designed by Laura Lee Clark. The custom pool design and hardscape that we had installed under a previous owner underwent upgrading, reflecting the capabilities of the top landscape architects in Dallas.
The interesting thing to notice on this home is the topography of the backyard. The grade falls off more than five feet across the span of the yard. The manner in which we graded the property gave the impression that the yard was mostly flat. But, when viewed from the step down at the pool’s end looking up, the home and surroundings appear to grow in place.
